Both Future Found Sanctuary’s gardens and Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens border Table Mountain National Park. This means the flora and fauna have an uninterrupted fynbos corridor between the two and share many of the same beautiful plant species. It is only a 15-min drive to Kirstenbosch Gardens, acclaimed as one of the great botanical gardens of the world where our own Cherise Viljoen, master gardener and horticulturist who worked at Kirstenbosch, can provide you with an incredible tour of both these unique gardens.

People who have long lived in Cape Town are surprised to learn about Future Found Sanctuary’s 7-acre estate at the foothills of their majestic Table Mountain. Our founder searched for 10 years to find just the right location - one that was secluded and private, immersed in nature, yet conveniently close to spectacular food and wine areas, and to explore the city’s wonders.

Food and Wine Experiences in Cape Town
Many of South Africa’s exceptional wine estates — known as the Cape’s Winelands —are housed in the hills and valleys of our surrounding area. Groot Constantia Wine Farm is considered the oldest wine-producing farm in South Africa at over 330 years old. The International Wine Challenge (IWC) named Groot Constantia 2019 Sauvignon Blanc as the world’s best, the first time in a decade that this category award did not go to a wine from the Loire Valley or New Zealand.
You will find many of Cape Town’s top restaurants just a few minutes from the property:
Down the road, situated on the beautiful Silvermist Organic Wine Estate is the award-winning La Colombe Restaurant which is considered by many to be Africa’s finest dining experience.
Chef’s Warehouse at Beau Constantia is a 10-minute drive and shares our same values of seasonal, sustainable, and local. Much of their produce is grown locally or on the beautiful Beau Constantia farm and makes for vibrant food. The setting among the rolling vineyards and mountains with the all-glass views is truly special.

Visit One of Cape Town’s Most Secluded and Beautiful Beaches
Llandudno Beach with its soft, white, sand is surrounded by the natural bush and forest of the rocky Atlantic coastline and is a mere 15-minute drive. Large granite boulders frame the beach making it a clear favourite of photographers. Ask the Future Found Sanctuary chefs to prepare a picnic and head to the sunset rocks on the south side of the beach for an unforgettable sundowner session.

A Perfect Homebase to Explore Cape Town and Surrounds
Future Found Sanctuary also offers the perfect homebase from which to explore the gorgeous Peninsula with beaches and penguins in the historically rich Simonstown (50 minutes), and the unspoiled Cape Point Nature reserve and wildlife (75 minutes drive). There is no better place than Future Found Sanctuary to explore Cape Town and its surroundings.
Insider Tip: A stay at Future Found Sanctuary can also be combined with a stay at a city-based hotel to give you the best of both worlds: the much-loved vibrancy of Cape Town with the majestic 7th wonder of the world, Table Mountain, our backdrop. The perfect city/mountain escape.
