Yoga can be enjoyed in our gardens or in our studio with floor to ceiling windows with abundant natural light and the sounds of nature.

Our Spaces
A place of unique biodiversity, where mind, body, heart and spirit connect to the regenerative power of nature.

One of the most biodiverse places on the planet
Our sanctuary is a seven-acre private estate unlike anything else in Cape Town. It rests on the foothill of Table Mountain, one of the 7 new natural wonders of the world and part of the Cape Floral Kingdom, one of the most biodiverse places on the planet with 70% of the plants not found anyone else on Earth. Table Mountain is said to exude clockwise vortex that radiates out light and nurturing energy along leys, or supernatural lines that connect global ancient sites and powerful spiritual landforms.
Table Mountain National Park
Sanctuary is steps from trails on Table Mountain, and there is a plethora of options for hikes from the property and then more in the Hout Bay area and surrounds. A complimentary guided hike to the waterfall and back is included as part of your stay - please pack appropriate shoes for hiking. Myburgh Ravine Waterfall: 1,6km out-and-back, 165m elevation gain – estimated time of 1hr15min. Generally considered a moderately challenging route.
Villa Verte
Meaning ‘green’ in French, ‘Villa Verte’ embodies its name: elevated on a mountain slope, and tucked away between the treetops. Design inspired by the nature that surrounds us, the striking wallpapers were chosen for each suite and each one is named after local plants or flowers. Magnificent views from both sides of each of Villa Verte's bedroom suites are through tall glass windows of the valley below and craggy mountain peaks behind. With a strong use of curves in its architecture, this modern day tree-house was designed with the intention of connecting its visitors with the outdoors and each other.
Fitness Center & Sensorium Spa
Our state of the art Technogym includes everything needed for a full-body workout. From bicycles and treadmills to a stretch area and free weights - working out to mountain views has never been more inviting. The Sensorium Spa includes 3 treatment rooms, one consult room and a steam room that also doubles as a rasul for a middle eastern mud ritual. These expansive facilities are dedicated to guests.
Natural Immersion Pool
Rejuvenate with a dip in our natural plunge pool and the amazing water from the aquifers of Table Mountain. Cold water immersion is associated with many benefits including improving circulation and firing up the lymphatic system.
Yoga Studio
There are so many places on the estate where a yoga practice could take place including our yoga studio where our daily complimentary Vinyasa yoga happens. Like all rooms on the estate, there are continuous views to the outside.
Fynbos Garden
Table Mountain is the habitat for localized bush-type vegetation referred to as “fynbos”—from the Dutch for “fine bush”—a name applied to the ecosystem within the mountains of South Africa’s Cape region. This fynbos, including those from the sage and citrus and heather families, have a uniquely characteristic aroma, which makes the air in South Africa so intoxicating, and the plants themselves play an integral role in the scents and teas used in the daily life of Future Found Sanctuary. Biodiverse gardens mean food for insects; we keep bees on the property and sustainably harvest the honey. Our supremely talented master horticulturist, Cherise Viljoen, previously worked with Kirstenbosch for many years. Both gardens border the Table Mountain National Park, meaning that the flora and fauna have an uninterrupted fynbos corridor between the two, and share many of the same beautiful plant species.
Indigenous Forest
Future Found Sanctuary has a wide variety of indigenous and exotic trees that have been carefully chosen to add stature or forage food to the garden spaces. We also treasures a natural woodland corner of our local fynbos mountain forest that has remained intact and unspoiled. These trees support local birdlife, wildlife and pollinators especially Future Found Sanctuary's own bees that produce a golden and delicious fynbos & gumtree flavoured honey.
Fruit, Vegetables & Herbs
Forage for the freshest produce in our herb and veggie gardens or pick fresh fruit from the myriad of fruit trees scattered about the estate. Our chefs use the seasonal bounty that grows organically in our gardens in the rich African soil. We employ many regenerative practices including composting to support the soil and the taste and nutrition profile of what we grow.
Sound Healing Studio
The sound healing studio is a private spot surrounded by lush forest and greenery. With the floor to ceiling doors open, it creates a pavilion type setting, and when closed, the acoustics are ideal for sound entertainment and sound healing. In the studio, sound healing is kept to a maximum of 4 people.
Maison Noir
The work of African ceramicists, painters, photographers and weavers line our walls and connect the five bedrooms of our luxury Maison Noir villa and set the scene for the many inspiring corners of this one-of-a-kind property. We replace trend with timelessness by drawing inspiration from the balance and harmony of the natural world and indigenous culture. Our colours which are inspired by nature are vibrant yet sophisticated. Our spaces are filled with natural light and mountain vistas. We create 5-star luxury by imbuing sensual dimensionality and use of texture.
Bee Hives
The four buzzing bee hives that exist on our land, and the lightly caramel, sweetly floral honey produced by our happy Cape Honey Bees is testament to the harmonious ecosystem fostered at Future Found Sanctuary. Our biodiverse landscape, maintained through sustainable gardening practices (we never use pesticides or chemical fertilisers), is filled with a multitude of indigenous plants, some of which have even been used in our bespoke teas and signature villa fragrances.
Owner's Residence
Ferme Noire is the owner's residence. The owner, a former home retail guru, has employed barefoot luxury and elemental design in Ferme Noire, Villa Verte and Maison Noir. You are enveloped in mountain vistas and immersed in local art hand selected by the owner.
5 Elements Garden
We celebrate nature's power in our five elements garden: AIR - clean mountain air flows through the treadmill and is washed by the biodiversity of the Cape Floral Kingdom. FIRE - Fire in our firepits brings people together for storytelling, food and stargazing as it has done for thousands of years. WATER - Water that originates from the ancient Table Mountain flows through the garden. EARTH - Herbs, fruits, and veggies grow in our gardens and are ready to be harvested by guests. ETHER - Consciousness, stillness and presence can be achieved through the multi-sensory connection in nature.
