Divert to the Delta
Experience Botswana’s Okavango Delta in exquisite luxury at &Beyond Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge, while searching for the Big Five in a game vehicle or on foot. Staying in this pangolin-shaped lodge, you’ll connect to the sustainable ethos of conservation, craftsmanship and community that exists here on the papyrus-fringed banks of meandering water channels.
Relaxation is instilled throughout the visit: in the massage sala, in your private plunge pool and on the viewing platform, from where you’ll spot animals roaming across the delta. Bush banquets and alfresco dinners under the stars, around an open fire, make this an incredibly memorable stay, as does the central kitchen, where you are able to interact with the chefs, join in the food prep and learn about local ingredients and specialty dishes. To make even more of this experiential stay, join an Africa Foundation community visit or take a behind-the-scenes sustainability tour. Children will also love the WILDchild programme of daily activities.

Day 01 - 05
All year round as every season has a different appeal. The main rainy season is between November and February but even this period, which is known as the “Green Season” is a wonderful time to visit. The peak season and best time to visit the Okavango Delta is during winter months (May to October). During this time the floodwaters build, peaking in September, and the thinning foliage allows for greater visibility in spotting wildlife.
Easily customisable to extend or reduce stays or even substiture an alternative property within the Okvanago Delta should availability be limited for the period you wish to travel over. There are multiple access points for each destination and the order of the itinerary can be reversed as well.
With the exception of strict Kosher or Halaal requirements, chefs are happy to cater for all dietary preferences. Advance notice is recommended.
When packing for a safari holiday to Botswana, less is more. The maximum luggage allowance on charter aircraft flights is 20kg (44lb) per person, plus one piece of hand luggage or a camera bag. Where space allows, additional seats may be booked for excess luggage. Each additional seat that you book enables you to travel with an additional 70kg (154lb) of luggage.
